Australian Bollards Energy Absorbing Bollard (AB-EAB) is a Roadside Service Saferoad Division product presenting the latest pedestrian and road safety solution.
The EAB is designed to a TL-0 containment level, meaning it is capable of halting vehicles weighing 1700kg while travelling speeds of up to 65 kilometres an hour across work zones, low speed roads and high foot traffic areas to protect pedestrians from hostile vehicles. The EAB Cartridge is also filled with VVH Grade Polystyrene foam which increases its shock absorbing capabilities, making it compliant with AS/NZS 1698:2006.
The EAB is available with both a fixed and removable option, and is compliant Australia-wide with VicRoads, Transport for New South Wales, Government of South Australia, ACT Government, Northern Territory, Queensland Government, the Department of Transport (WA) and the Tasmanian Government needs and requirements.
The EAB is one metre tall and is installed in a sub-surface mounted fashion. This product is available in a galvanised steel and powder coated finish, providing an aesthetically pleasing touch to the EAB. NJM Groups Energy Absorbing Bollard is compliant with the road safety barrier systems and device standards in the AS/NZS 3845, formed in 1999.
