Proudly Australian made and designed, the AB-EAB stands one metre above ground and is installed in a sub-surface mounted fashion, further reinforcing it.
Engineered to withstand a 1600 kilogram vehicle travelling up to 60km/h, the AB-EAB minimises the impact and damage as much as possible and complies with the AS/NZS 3845 standards (formed in 2017), making it the benchmark for road safety barriers.
The AB-EAB is also filled with VVH Grade Polystyrene foam which increases its shock absorbing capabilities, making it compliant with AS/NZS 1698:2006
Compared to other regular frontal impact bollards, the AB-EAB is designed to not only absorb the oncoming collision and protect pedestrians, assets or infrastructure but also keep the driver within the vehicle as they brace from the impact.
This is because of the bollards flexibility to “give way” when impact occurs, creating an obtuse angle that lifts the vehicle’s front axle making the passengers move back and away from the steering wheel and the dashboard, greatly reducing injuries and fatalities from occurring.
After impact, the bollard can be repaired or replaced if required by one of our certified team members.
The AB-EAB can also be equipped with partition screens to add a greater range of protection and our AB-FD 300 solar powered LED road studs, which will help illuminate the product and night and slow down reckless drivers.
